Made.com has suspended sales as it teeters on the brink of collapse. 
The online furniture business, which sells sofas, bean bags and antique brass lamps, shut down its website and stopped taking new orders yesterday. 
If the business does not find a buyer or secure new funding before it runs out of cash it will collapse into administration.

The beleaguered furniture chain was set up in 2010 by Lastminute.com founder Brent Hoberman and French wellness businesswoman Chloe Macintosh, backed by entrepreneurs Ning Li and Julien Callede. 
Made.com's mission was to make high-end designer furniture and homewares accessible to everyone and it was once hailed as transforming the way we buy furniture.
